glad its OVER!

I am the queen of guilt. Right now I feel guilty because I need to do laundry, and I am surfing the net. I feel guilty because of all the beautiful gifts people gave me and my family and I baked goodies. Not that they were just any goodies, only the best. But still. It bites. Maybe if I started in May buying stuff I could come close, but I don’t have that kind of foresite and planning.
Well, some guilt temporaily assaged. Started the dishwasher, put some clothes in the dryer, a load in the washer, and gathered the next. I also put the rice in the pot. I want the house clean so badly. I’ve been doing it by myself, cause Jeff’s in relax holiday mode. He did take out the trash this morning, but he didn’t take out the tree like he said he would last night. Now he is sitting in the living room watching sports with our landlord and I’m feeling pissed, becaus the tree is there, leaning even more in all its dead glory.
To make matters worse, can’t even eat until the dishwasher is done running, cause I forgot to start it this morning. I feel hungry.
WHINE!
Anyway, here is a picture of the men.

Ruminations on the day after Christmas.

I’m savoring a bowl of Chicken soup with dumplings in it. My best friend came over last night and we made it. After a couple of weeks of rich foods and sweets it was just the thing for a tortured intestinal tract. I remember when I was a kid and I could eat junk all day and not feel bad and now I eat one thing and I pay for it.
Belle is watching a marathon of “Go, Diego, Go!” Its getting old to me, I’ve seen every episode about 10 times now, but she adores it. She goes around singing the songs for it. Of course I sing along with her. She has really good tone and pitch for someone who just turned 2. Her Aunties gave her a keyboard for Christmas, so I am excited. I know enough to get her started playing, and someone else can take over. She may be too young for more than just doing whatever she wants, but we shall see. I don’t want to be one of those Godzilla parents who manage every aspect of their kids’ lives. I just want her to have the lessons she wants and do the activities she wants to.
Late night, Christmas.

I am watching Scrooged. I love Groundhogs day too.
Contemplating going to bed, also contemplating taking another bath. Bed will probably win out.
Aside from several hours of SEVERE intestinal Distress this morning, the day was great!
Yes, bed is calling most definatly.
Kiss Noise!
