I set the oven on fire Sunday night. Not on purpose, but Brian didn’t think it was funny at all.

The roof the roof, the roof is on fire….we don’t need no water let the MF’er burn….
I really hope I never have that experience…

What a coincidence. Last night I was roasting almonds in my oven and one jumped overboard and set itself on fire. It wasn’t the whole oven mind you, but there were flames.

ya, it was just a few flames in the bottom of the oven, nothing huge-
- I roasted a turkey and some juices spilled into the bottom- so when I put in the rolls to bake and raised the temp *POOF* flamage.
Brian was all for going for the fire extinguisher and I’m all “NO those make huge messes! I’m not cleaning up that mess!”
He didn’t like the smoke but it wasn’t that bad- if he’d been worrying less I’d have just let it burn itself out, but I just salted it a bit and out it went.
Sigh. Now I have to clean to oven tonight.

Hey! I set the top of the stove on fire last night… mark made some pale candy and of course it overflowed… the next time I turned the stove on for tea water I had flames shooting out!

Brian thinks I am less crazy after reading this.
Thanks!
