What’s in a name?

Boyfriend seems too…. casual and doesn't really imply the depth of our regard for each other.
Lover seems to imply there's only sex going on!
Fiancee is VERY formal and really? They guy hasn't officially asked me yet. And I've always LOATHED that word. I don't know why.
We tosses around some Spanish "novio" "novia", Mi esposo… Etc. Nothing fits.
But at long last I know what I'll call him when I'm speaking of him.
I'm calling him my "almost husband". Cause he's almost except for one pesky legal bit

Once again wee small child is sick. This is the second time in as many weeks that she’s puking.
But Brian is taking sick time from work to be home with her.
How wonderful is he?

I am a cold blooded person. I am nearly always cold.
But our office air conditioning is out.
I walked into an 81 degree office.
MY FEET ARE SWEATING.
I feel gross.
Somebody give me some booze.
