Trying to understand

Is it abuse to make your daughter sleep on the cold hard floor with only a pillow? No blanket, nada?

How come he’s spanking her?  We don’t have to spank her!

Why is he calling her a brat?  Everyone who interacts with Emma tells us what a delight she is, how sweet and well behaved she is….

Why wasn’t she given lunch?

I’m worried.  Really worried.

I’m sorry. :( Some people just have no idea what they’re doing.

This might be something you want to run by your attorney. Your daughter does not deserve to be mistreated — particularly by her own father.

Well, I spoke to him, according to him she has a mattress she sleeps on, and a blanket that she kicked off(consistent for her, she sleeps hot)
    and they did eat lunch.
So technically she was on the floor… I don’t know! She’s five, so the things she tells me may be the truth, but missing vital information…
Ya, I know he’s a shitty father, but I have a hard time thinking he’s THAT shitty of a father…
But Emma is generally a truthful child so I do listen to her.
And I’m hesitant to bring it to my attorney’s attention, because A:I don’t feel like she listened, cared, or gave much time or attention to my case previously- she told me what I wanted to hear up to the last moment (i.e. three days before trial) and B: I still owe her 1800 for THAT!. I don’t feel like she did a good job, really at all. So to rack up more of a debt with her makes me feel ill….

oh goodness… :( That sucks that you don’t have a good relationship with your attorney.. :( And I’m sure it would cost even more to get a different one… :( *hugs* honey…

I LIKED my attorney- but I just don’t think she thought I was important. She thought it was going to be an easy case and ignored it- and me- and the things I said.

I mean, is it standard for the judge to yell at an attorney? Because she’s not listening?

This makes me so sad for both of you….

In a completely unrelated note, you showed up in my list of rec for Facebook. Totally freaked me out as I thought I kept that email/etc completely separate…
